About the Sixpack Competition
The SellaBand Sixpack is a friendly competition on Sellaband where every week we'll present a selection of six artists on their way to $50,000. As a Believer you can cast a daily vote on your favorite artist. Registered Members/Fans can also vote for their favorite artist, but can only vote once a week.

The voting runs from noon (12 o'clock) on Monday, until midnight on Sunday night (all times CET).

The Artist with the most votes at the end of everyweek will be the Artist of the week and receive a special Promopack.
The Promopack includes a banner on the Search Page, being the first track in Homepage player, a feature in the News section. Also you will receive a 10 Part incentive from SellaBand, as well as 10 giftparts to give away to friends, family or fans to join Sellaband.

The artists who become 2nd and 3rd will have a resit in the next week.

As a voter you have a chance to win one of the 5 Gift Parts by a random selection at the end of every week.

The SellaBand Sixpack is a 'live-as-it-happens' Chart. The six acts are shown from top to bottom, according to the number of votes received in the running week.

The Sellaband Sixpack
Sixpack of the Week
Mon 17th Nov 2008 (12:00) - Mon 24th Nov 2008 (00:00)
In this edition of SellaBand Sixpack we're bringing you Sherif Karama, Cloon, The Opposite of Faith, Katie Thompson, and Travellers. Unfortunately for MEO, who was on the competition for 2 weeks but unable to get to the number 1 spot can no longer be in the competition. So the five new bands are joined by last week's number 3, Skitzo Calypso. They can have another round to compete for the 'Artist of the Week' on SellaBand. So what are you waiting for? vote now!
1
Skitzo Calypso
Rising from the ashes of creativity, drive, experience, success and resistance, Skitzo Calypso continues to evolve as the mid-Atlantic independent rock n’ roll band that refuses to give up or compromise its vision, for the sake of quick album sales, instant success, popularity or social acceptance. Despite their unique approach and exclusive sound, Skitzo Calypso has been received and accepted genre-wide, which is a true representation and victory of their intention.
2
Katie Thompson
Katie Thompson is a refreshing young singer songwriter with a cool country slant and a keen ear for a straightforward and well written song (and she has one hell of a voice too!!). The 21 year old New Zealander is a member of the Dream Team, has recorded a number of collaborations and is steadily climbing the SellaBand chart. Katie is currently working on an album which will feature “This Is Goodbye” & “Monteiths on Tap” (both songs on her player). Help this Kiwi Fly!!!
3
Cloon
Cloon started out in 2002 as an instrumental project containing current members Maarten, Philippe, and Servaas. A 4th Cloon member joins the ranks in February 2004. Tom Claus takes his place behind the microphone and appears to be the missing part of the puzzle, performing as an excellent story-teller and vocalist, but above all a genius with a master diploma in crazy freaked-out frontmanship. New songs were written and a new Cloon was born. Cloon is currently writing new material for a first full album, to be released somewhere in 2008.
4
Sherif Karama
Sherif Karama is a solo artist from Montreal. Originally born in Cairo,Egypt, he's been composing music since the age of 12. Now aged 23 and playing all instruments in his small home studio, Sherif has found his sound in a folk-rock setting reminescent of Damien Rice and Glen Hansard, mixed with Silverchair and a touch of Coldplay. Watch out his most recent track Merry Jungle, a celebration of the victory over confusion!
5
Travellers
Travellers, as they'd like to refer to, is not a band name but a philosophical concept. A delicate music construction work using and mixing samples. Sound Genres - Dance / Lounge / World Fusion / Ethnic / Chillout / Experimental / Nu-Jazz and others. All tracks producer by Rui Serra.
6
The Opposite of Faith
With strains of Massive Attack, Gnarls Barkley, Morcheeba, N*E*R*D and A Perfect Circle, sharpened with technical and creative edges, The Opposite of Faith gives the feeling of predatory pursuit as much as being deeply lost in thought, questioning everything with a desire to know more. The project is about constructing and deconstructing music and art-the goal to the band is to make something unique.
