1		Mount Fabric Mount Fabric is a 4 piece band from Manchester, England. Since the start in 2007 the focus has been on intelligently written songs with a strong emphasis on melody, interplay between instruments and singer Alex's emotionally charged vocals. Playing an eclectic mix of uplifting ballads and dark, broody rock songs, there are influences such as Radiohead, Muse and Interpol, while trying to add something their own.

2		The Smyrk After a brief hiatus in late 2008, The Smyrk returned to the national scene with a bang at the annual SXSW music festival in Austin, TX. The band, based in New Haven, CT, made waves in 2007 with an EP produced by Incubus bassist and former Roots guitarist Ben Kenney. With a loyal international following, two CMJ showcases under their belt, airtime on MTV, and a current single produced by Bryan Russell (Envy on the Coast, Straylight Run, Coldplay), The Smyrk is back and better than ever and planning to record new material this year.

3		FM Revolver Spring of 2009 finds FM Revolver – Chris, Aaron, Andy, Josh and Mike - planted firmly in the midst of San Diego’s rock scene, with fans, venues, radio and print media alike poised for their follow up to the 2005 Leaving Madeira EP, with their first full length independent release scheduled for June 2009. Building on the success of Leaving Madeira brings the band face to face with the beauty of musical evolution, with a sound developed and molded into a blend of progressive melodies, heart-wrenching lyrics, and crushing guitar lines that bring even the most hardened veterans to their feet.

4		The Nancy Wha The Nancy Wha are an energetic brit punk band from Finland. Formed in 2005 de band can be compared to the bands like The Clash, The Strokes and the Buzzrocks but witha modern twist.

5		Unset Since March of 2006, UNSET has been rapidly climbing the ladder of the hard rock industry. This San Diego, California based Quintet created an original sound that is new yet very familiar, hard and yet widely appealing. Their debut album, Remains Of A Dream, is their first installment of music which is an accumulation of true to life imagery through sound. Each song has its own story. Each melody has its own voice.

6		Zack Borer Zack Borer loves music. Zack loves to sing his songs. Armed with a voice and a guitar, Zack has found a way to connect with people through his own experiences. Although he's been playing for years, it wasn't until he seriously started writing that he became aware of the ability to express himself through melody and song. Drawing from influences ranging from Motown, funk, pop, and jazz, Zack has spent the last 4 years developing a unique vocal style that suits him as an artist. Playing constantly around the US and abroad, he has landed in the Northeast basing himself out of New York City. With tour plans, and the release of new music on a monthly basis, 2009 is shaping up to be the year he's been waiting for. As Zack says, "a little patience makes things easier to find."

7		Adam Wedd & the Independents It has been said that you are far more likely to find Adam Wedd & The Independents busking to fans on the street than retreating to their dressing room to drink their way through the rider. This desire to maintain a unique relationship between their music and their fans is characterised by their distinctive fusion of meaningful & thought-provoking lyrics with catchy pop melodies. Adam’s unique approach to writing songs comes as a result of several years of honing his craft as a solo singer-songwriter. His lyrics display a well-developed understanding of the human condition, often appearing under the guise of childish optimism and naivety. After several years of success performing as a solo artist, with the high point being the use of his music in a short film premiered at the Covent Garden Odeon, it was time to establish a full-band line-up to take the project to the next level, and born of this was Adam Wedd & The Independents. Never detracting from the original arrangements written for voice and acoustic guitar, the full-band sound naturally suited the tracks, doing nothing but complementing the original musical ideas.

About the Sixpack Competition

The SellaBand Sixpack is a friendly competition on Sellaband where every week we'll present a selection of six artists on their way to $50,000. As a Believer you can cast a daily vote on your favorite artist. Registered Members/Fans can also vote for their favorite artist, but can only vote once a week.

The voting runs from noon (12 o'clock) on Monday, until midnight on Sunday night (all times CET).

The Artist with the most votes at the end of everyweek will be the Artist of the week and receive a special Promopack.
The Promopack includes a banner on the Search Page, being the first track in Homepage player, a feature in the News section. Also you will receive a 10 Part incentive from SellaBand, as well as 10 giftparts to give away to friends, family or fans to join Sellaband.

The artists who become 2nd and 3rd will have a resit in the next week.
