Advertising is the bread and butter for any website and SellaBand is no exception. Where we are sure we differ from other online portals, is that our business-model is based on revenue sharing. Yes, you've read it right. SellaBand will split all advertising revenues with Bands and Believers.

How does this work? SellaBand shares its revenues in advertising and music sales with its Artists and their Believers. But only with those Artists who have raised the full recording budget of $50,000 and have officially released their SellaBand album. Of all the advertising revenues generated via www.sellaband.com 33,33% will go to the band/artist, 33,33% will go to the Believers, and yes, SellaBand will keep the remaining 33,33%, just in case you were wondering...

The revenue split will be based on marketshare. From all the albums we release, three songs will be available as Free Downloads. The more the music of a SellaBand Recording Artist is downloaded, the bigger the market share will be and the bigger the percentage of your part of the revenues will be. Sound simple? Well, it is simple! And therefore we feel it is important that we're making a number of spots on our website available for advertisements.
